Do Not Be Deceived! The Fallacies of the Pre Tribulation Rapture

By Wes Myhre

In order to have a firm understanding as to where I am coming from in this article, I recommend reading Douglas Hamp’s piece, God’s Divorce and Remarriage  And The Restoration of Israel  Through the New Covenant (click here to watch the video) and my blog,  Not All Israelites Are Jews.  Furthermore, I will briefly summarize a simplistic, family history of the Hebrews from Abraham until current day; and once that is completed, I will then present a biblically based argument as to why the pretribulation rapture is false and the brain child of Satan.

Insomuch as that being said, let us look at where blame lies as to whom is responsible for any of our own misguidance.  In part, but probably not 50% culpable, the Church has failed to provide the subject matter we are about to embark upon, suffering us to have a skewed view of the historicity of the Hebrews. The other part or the blame falls on us as followers of Yeshua whereas we should assume more the 50% of the fault, too.  We have stumbled by not thoroughly studying scripture and only relying on what has been uttered from the pulpits and/or through penned commentary of long deceased churched and Jewish leaders and not the pages of the Tanakh or Brit Chadashah as we find is the case with the Pre Tribulation Rapture.

Listed are four tenets of the Pre Tribulation Rapture.

(a) Even though the Jews reject Jesus as the Messiah, they are still God’s chosen people. Therefore, God has to fulfill all of the promises that He made to ancient Israel because God always keeps His promises.

(b) Salvation has occurred in different ways at different times (dispensations). Therefore, Christians are saved today in a different way than the Jews and other people were before the cross.

(c) The seventieth week of Daniel 9 points forward to a period of seven years during which the Great Tribulation will take place, and

(d) God will not allow the church to suffer His wrath during the Great Tribulation. He will take it to Heaven  (Wilson).

Looking at the first tenet let us examine a brief summary of the family history and Divorce of the house of Israel. YHWY told Abraham, Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee” (Genesis 17:5). And YHWY’s covenant with Abraham continued through Isaac, But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year” (Genesis 17:21).

Finally, YHWY confirms this covenant with Jacob: “13 And, behold, the Lord stood above it, and said, I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.15 And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of”   (Genesis 28:13-15) (Emphasis added).

It is important to know the sons of Jacob.

23 The sons of Leah; Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn, and Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Zebulun:24 The sons of Rachel; Joseph, and Benjamin:25 And the sons of Bilhah, Rachel’s handmaid; Dan, and Naphtali:26 And the sons of Zilpah, Leah’s handmaid: Gad, and Asher: these are the sons of Jacob, which were born to him in Padanaram.  Genesis 35:23-26 (Emphasis added.)

Moving on down the line to Solomon and to the time directly after his death, King Rehoboam and King Jeroboam, both, of the houses of Judah and Israel respectively, fall into a civil discourse/war.  The house of Judah was made up of the tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and part of Levi.  The house of Israel contained the rest. Eventually through time the house of Israel was disbursed to the nations.

And the Lord said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel. And it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of Israel, in the valley of Jezreel. And she conceived again, and bare a daughter. And God said unto him, Call her name Loruhamah: for I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel; but I will utterly take them away. But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the Lord their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.  Hosea 1:4-7 (Emphasis added.)

Here we can see Hosea confirms Jeremiah 3:8, “…backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce…”  as well as Jeremiah 31:32 “…which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord.”

In Ezekiel  36:19 we find the house of Israel never returned back to its land.

19 And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.   Ezekiel 36:17-19 (Emphasis added.)

The house of Judah remained even though many were carted off by the Babylonians but a remnant returned to occupy the promise land until about 70 AD when the Temple was completely destroyed.

***

An aside note though, reading Yeshua’s commentary on the Temple destruction we find:

1And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. Matthew 24:1-2

Also note, the Greek word for temple in verse 1 is hieron. Strong’s defines ,“ἱερόν hierón, hee-er-on’; neuter of G2413; a sacred place, i.e. the entire precincts (whereas G3485 denotes the central sanctuary itself) of the Temple (at Jerusalem or elsewhere):—temple.”

Therefore, Yeshua is referring to the whole complex, all structures, when He stated, “There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” This profoundly brings into question than, what is the structures located in Jerusalem which are referred to as the Temple wall? This is something to study out on your own, and a good place to start is with Bob Cornuke.  He presents a persuasive argument.  I do not have an opinion one way or the other at this point as I have not thoroughly investigated the claims Mr. Cornuke has made.

So let us return to the topic at hand.  Eventually, after years of intermarriage with the heathen people of the nations with the blood lines being mixed, the house of Israel lost its identity completely, when the house of Israel and the nations amalgamated into one people group, heathens identifying with Babylon.  This concept is the key in understanding how the Gentiles attain salvation through adoption into the house of Israel.  History shows the Jewish people returned to the Holy Land in 1948, and restoring both houses back to that of Israel is still in process, and it is through this progression that both houses will attain salvation through the death of Yeshua Hamashiach.  Also, one must understand as well, the Gentiles (people of the nations) will attain salvation through being adopted into and then as a part of the house of Israel.  And this is plainly taught in the scriptures, but not supported by the Church; therefore, I urge the reader to conduct your own study.  Please do not take my word on this topic, study it out for yourself. Start with the essay, video, and blog given at the beginning for the biblical proof and then study out the scriptures.

Now then, let us look at the Pre Tribulation Rapture theory of Yeshua rapturing out the Church and returning later for the Jewish remnant.

The pre tribulation rapture theory clearly teaches there are two different groups to be saved, the bride of Jesus and the wife of God. Let us stop at this point and look at the absurdity of this idea of Yeshua having a wife and YHWY having a different bride.  Throughout scripture we are shown YHWY and Yeshua are one.  Here are the proof texts.

John 10:30I and [my] Father are one.
Isaiah 9:6For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

John 8:58Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

John 10:30-33I and [my] Father are one.
John 1:3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

John 1:2The same was in the beginning with God.

John 1:1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 20:28And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

Two things we know at this point, Yeshua and YHWY are one and the Church and Israel are one.

You will find through your study the gentiles were adopted into the house of Israel, and through Yeshua’s death on the cross, the house of Israel can be rejoined with the house of Judah becoming one again. There is only one bride, which comes from the unification of both houses of Judah and Israel, Yeshua’s church/ bride.

Let us move on to the second tenet, “Salvation has occurred in different ways at different times (dispensations). Therefore, Christians are saved today in a different way than the Jews and other people were before the cross” (Wilson).

To refute this tenet please go to my blog post Begin at the Beginning.  It will lay a foundation pulling the rug out from under the flimsy footing of the Dispensationalism doctrine. However, to disprove this doctrine is relatively simple in that YHWY is never changing.  Salvation has and will always be through the shed blood of Yeshua Hamashiach; therefore all people from Adam until now attain salvation in the very same way.

Here are the proof texts showing YHWY/Yeshua is never changing.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrew 13:8

“For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed. Malachi 3:6

God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? Numbers 23:19

These are the verses explaining salvation, Yeshua Hamashiach, came prior to the setting of the foundations of the earth.

And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Revelation 13:8 (Emphasis added.)

Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. John 17:24 (Emphasis added.)

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Ephesians 1:4 (Emphasis added.)

Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, 1 Peter 1:20 (Emphasis added.)

Besides no one attained salvation through the slaughter of animals.  Number one, it was not perfect blood; number two, it was a work of man; and number three, the shed blood of animals atoned for man’s sin by coving the sin.  Only the shed blood of Yeshua saved man, which is to deliver man from the clutches of sin.  So let me ask the obvious question.  Would you want sin removed permanently or just concealed from your view? By the way Yeshua means salvation.

20 And he shall do with the bullock as he did with the bullock for a sin offering, so shall he do with this: and the priest shall make an atonement for them, and it shall be forgiven them. 21 And he shall carry forth the bullock without the camp, and burn him as he burned the first bullock: it is a sin offering for the congregation. 22 When a ruler hath sinned, and done somewhat through ignorance against any of the commandments of the Lord his God concerning things which should not be done, and is guilty; 23 Or if his sin, wherein he hath sinned, come to his knowledge; he shall bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a male without blemish: 24 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the goat, and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt offering before the Lord: it is a sin offering. Leviticus 4:20-24

For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.  Hebrew 10:4

On the other hand the Word of YHWY speaks definitively about the shed blood of Yeshua:

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1 John 1:7

For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Matthew 26:28

And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. Matthew 26:28

Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption [for us]. Hebrews 9:12

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Revelation 12:11

Moving on to the third tenet.

(c) The seventieth week of Daniel 9 points forward to a period of seven years during which the Great Tribulation will take place (Wilson).

The seven years spoken about in Daniel 9 may point to the end times; however, YHWY informs us in prophecies for the last days that the prophecy is for end times; therefore, we need to carefully read the context of the passage.  We already know human history is cyclical, and studious bible pupils will readily agree.  However, remember context, context, context.

And now, behold, I go unto my people: come therefore, and I will advertise thee what this people shall do to thy people in the latter days. Numbers 24:14 (Emphasis added.)

When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; Deuteronomy 4:30 (Emphasis added.)

For I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.  Deuteronomy 31:29 (Emphasis added.)

The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly. Jerimiah 23:20 (Emphasis added.)

The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it. Jerimiah 30:24 (Emphasis added.)

Yet will I bring again the captivity of Moab in the latter days, saith the LORD. Thus far is the judgment of Moab. Jerimiah 48:47 (Emphasis added.)

But it shall come to pass in the latter days, that I will bring again the captivity of Elam, saith the LORD.  Jerimiah 49:39 (Emphasis added.)

And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes. Ezekiel 38:16 (Emphasis added.)

But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these; Daniel 2:28 (Emphasis added.)

Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days. Daniel 10:14 (Emphasis added.)

Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days. Hosea 3:5 (Emphasis added.)

Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, Psalm 19:4 (Emphasis added.)

Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. Isaiah 62:11 (Emphasis added.)

The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. Matthew 13:39 (Emphasis added.)

As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. Matthew 13:40 (Emphasis added.)

So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, Matthew 13:49 (Emphasis added.)

And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? Matthew 24:3 (Emphasis added.)

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Matthew 24:14 (Emphasis added.)

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:20 (Emphasis added.)

For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. Hebrews 9:26 (Emphasis added.)

So what does this mean?  Well, in Daniel 9 the context does not say it is for the end times; therefore, I would be suspect that it is.  Now I will say this about this argument.  It needs to be studied out further using biblically proven hermeneutics, and that in depth study can be found here, Blog Post 2.

  • YHWH is never changing: was, is, and will be. (Satan is never changing, always the father of lies.)
  • It takes two or three witnesses to establish a matter.
  • God will reveal a matter to His Prophets.

We have definitely observed two of the four legs of the Pre Tribulation Rapture cannot provide support for the theory and this third leg is week and possibly fractured as well.  So what about the forth leg?

(d) God will not allow the church to suffer His wrath during the Great Tribulation. He will take it to Heaven (Wilson).

For this tenet, let us first look at passages talking about the wrath of YHWY, then look at how YHWY handled His people when the earth suffered His wrath, and finally end with the difference between tribulation and wrath.  The word wrath occurs in 194 verses in the King James Bible.

The wrath of God came upon them, and slew the fattest of them, and smote down the chosen men of Israel. Psalm 78:31 (Emphasis added.)

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:36 (Emphasis added.)

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Romans 1:18 (Emphasis added.)

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Ephesians 5:6 (Emphasis added.)

For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: Colossians 3:6 (Emphasis added.)

The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: Revelation 14:10 (Emphasis added.)

And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. Revelation 14:19 (Emphasis added.)

And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. Revelation 15:1 (Emphasis added.)

And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever. Revelation 15:7 (Emphasis added.)

And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. Revelation 16:1 (Emphasis added.)

And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand? Exodus 32:11 (Emphasis added.)

Remember, and forget not, how thou provokedst the LORD thy God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that thou didst depart out of the land of Egypt, until ye came unto this place, ye have been rebellious against the LORD. Deuteronomy 9:7 (Emphasis added.)

And they left the house of the LORD God of their fathers, and served groves and idols: and wrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem for this their trespass. 2 Chronicles 24:18 (Emphasis added.)

Now it is in mine heart to make a covenant with the LORD God of Israel, that his fierce wrath may turn away from us. 2 Chronicles 29:10 (Emphasis added.)

Now be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves unto the LORD, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you2 Chronicles 30:8 (Emphasis added.)

But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy. 2 Chronicles 36:16 (Emphasis added.)

Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob unto the ends of the earth. Selah. Psalm 59:13 (Emphasis added.)

Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD. Ezekiel 22:31 (Emphasis added.)

But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Romans 2:5 (Emphasis added.)

What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: Romans 9:22 (Emphasis added.)

For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Romans 13:4 (Emphasis added.)

And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. Revelation 16:19 (Emphasis added.)

And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. Revelation 19:15 (Emphasis added.)

So then, let us look at whom will suffer the wrath of YHWY. As we will find in the following verses those children of disobedience will, and we know children of disobedience are lawless; therefore not believing on Yeshua.

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:36 (Emphasis added.)

Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD. Ezekiel 22:31 (Emphasis added.)

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 1 Thessalonians 5:9 (Emphasis added.)

Now let us look at some incidents when YHWY’s wrath fell upon the earth.

  1. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Genesis 6:13 (Emphasis added.)
  2. The wrath of God came upon them, and slew the fattest of them, and smote down the chosen men of Israel. Psalm 78:31 (Emphasis added.)
  3. And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand? Exodus 32:11 (Emphasis added.)
  4. Remember, and forget not, how thou provokedst the LORD thy God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that thou didst depart out of the land of Egypt, until ye came unto this place, ye have been rebellious against the LORD. Deuteronomy 9:7 (Emphasis added.)
  5. And they left the house of the LORD God of their fathers, and served groves and idols: and wrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem for this their trespass. 2 Chronicles 24:18 (Emphasis added.)
  6. Now it is in mine heart to make a covenant with the LORD God of Israel, that his fierce wrath may turn away from us. 2 Chronicles 29:10 (Emphasis added.)
  7. Now be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves unto the LORD, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you. 2 Chronicles 30:8 (Emphasis added.)
  8. But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy. 2 Chronicles 36:16 (Emphasis added.)
  9. Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD. Ezekiel 22:31 (Emphasis added.)

Not once were YHWY’s people removed from the earth during His wrath; however, they were shielded from his wrath. Cases in point, look at Noah and his family in the Ark; Moses, the Israelites, and the Egyptians at the Red Sea; and Joshua and Rahab in Jericho.  YHWY protected all from His wrath.  And do not fall into the trap that those are just “Old Testament stories.”  Remember YHWY/Yeshua is never changing, the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

So let me briefly discuss the rapture commonly referred to when we meet Yeshua in the air.

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (Emphasis added.)

Here we see definitively Yeshua descends with all pomp and circumstance afforded Him for His ultimate blow to evil.  Prior to that charge, Yeshua will shout and have the trumpet blown awakening them that sleep and alerting them that remain. All will ascend to meet Yeshua in the clouds, note, not leaving the atmosphere of earth.   This verse lines up with 1 Corinthians 15.

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 1 Corinthians 15:51-53 (Emphasis added.)

Here we see in Revelation 11:17, “And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever” (emphasis added.)

For future study, look at how the book of Revelation is not on a time line but rather a collage of events all happening at the same time.  For further study go here Comparison of Seals, Trumpets, and Bowls from the Book of Revelation to begin gathering information.  But you will need to take note of Douglas Hamp’s opening paragraph to this short but decisive study. Notice in chapter 6 and 16 of Revelation talking about islands and mountains moving.

And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. Revelation 6:14

And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. Revelation 16:20

This indeed can only be one event.  Once Mr. Hamp placed the verses side by side he observed, “…the conclusion follows quickly: the events of Revelation are not a strict sequential chronology but are a series of visions looking at the events of the tribulation from different angles where many points are in fact the same event but different angles” (Hamp).

With this succinct observation it is easily recognizable that the trumpet in Revelation 11, 1 Thessalonians 4, and 1 Corinthians 15 are one in the same trumpet.

I do not expect you to take the last sentence at face value, but you will need to study it out.  As always this particular study will take time, possibly, months to complete.  If nothing else, you have been given food for thought.

One last item to understand, the difference between “YHWY’s wrath” and the “Great Tribulation” are two distinct concepts.  One is conducted by God to the detriment of the children of disobedience, where on the other hand, the children of YHWY suffer tribulation.  Notice the two different people groups, the children of YHWY and the children of disobedience. The reader must note, the word tribulation(s) is also used in a few verses of the KJV to denote trouble afflicted on the children of disobedience; however, the following verse show that saints experience tribulation.

When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; Deuteronomy 4:30 (Emphasis added.)

And ye have this day rejected your God, who himself saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto him, Nay, but set a king over us. Now therefore present yourselves before the LORD by your tribes, and by your thousands. 1 Samuel 10:19 (Emphasis added.)

And, behold, as thy life was much set by this day in mine eyes, so let my life be much set by in the eyes of the LORD, and let him deliver me out of all tribulation. 1 Samuel 26:24 (Emphasis added.)

Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. Matthew 13:21 (Emphasis added.)

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. Matthew 24:21 (Emphasis added.)

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33 (Emphasis added.)

Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. Acts 14:22 (Emphasis added.)

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; Romans 5:3 (Emphasis added.)

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Romans 8:35 (Emphasis added.)

Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Romans 12:12 (Emphasis added.)

Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 2 Corinthians 1:4 (Emphasis added.)

Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation. 2 Corinthians 7:4 (Emphasis added.)

For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.1 Thessalonians 3:4 (Emphasis added.)

So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: 2 Thessalonians 1:4 (Emphasis added.)

I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. Revelation 1:9 (Emphasis added.)

And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Revelation 7:14 (Emphasis added.)

Take notice, also, great tribulation is not used as a title, but rather the word great is used to describe tribulation. It can be translated as a great trouble or massive affliction.  Plus, remember to read the whole context of Matthew 24:21.

Let me show you the wrath of YHWY, this is what all ungodly, better known as disobedient or lawless, children, face at the end of days.

Circumcise yourselves to the Lord, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings. Jeremiah 4:4 (Emphasis added.)

O house of David, thus saith the Lord; Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver him that is spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.  Jeremiah 21:12 (Emphasis added.)

Through the wrath of the Lord of hosts is the land darkened, and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire: no man shall spare his brother. Isaiah 9:19 (Emphasis added.)

And the Lord shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones. Isaiah 30:30 (Emphasis added.)

For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. Isaiah 66:15 (Emphasis added.)

Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord God. Ezekiel 22:31 (Emphasis added.)

And I will pour out mine indignation upon thee, I will blow against thee in the fire of my wrath, and deliver thee into the hand of brutish men, and skilful to destroy. Ezekiel 21:31 (Emphasis added.)

Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey. Ezekiel 36:5 (Emphasis added.)

He hath bent his bow like an enemy: he stood with his right hand as an adversary, and slew all that were pleasant to the eye in the tabernacle of the daughter of Zion: he poured out his fury like fire. Lamentations 2:4 (Emphasis added.)

Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him. Nahum 1:6 (Emphasis added.)

Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the Lord‘s wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.  Zephaniah 1:18 (Emphasis added.)

Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the Lord, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy. Zephaniah 3:8 (Emphasis added.)

Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. Matthew 18:8 (Emphasis added.)

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: Matthew 25:41 (Emphasis added.)

Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Jude 1:7 (Emphasis added.)

YHWY’s wrath is eternal fire and reserved for the ungodly, profane, the lawless.

Let us shift gears slightly.

But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 2 Peter 3:7 (Emphasis added.)

One last argument of the Pre Tribulation Rapture Theory has to do with these verses.

1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 (Emphasis added.)

The translation that the day of Christ and that day are two different times comes from a faulty translation at best, or if one accepts the translation as written than an ignorant understanding of antecedents of pronouns exists of the one who believes the two different times theory.  The word used for “that day shall not come, except” is the Greek word eh-an’ may, G3362, which means if not, i.e. unless: before, but, except, if, no, if, whosoever, not.

Anecdotally concerning the English language, “that day” has the antecedent of “the day of Christ.”  Remember this?

So from a grammar point of view, “That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition”

could be rewritten like this:

That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for the day of Christ shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.”

Reviewing the tenets of the pre tribulation rapture, I will add to them what we learned in this study.

(a) Even though the Jews reject Jesus as the Messiah, they are still God’s chosen people. Therefore, God has to fulfill all of the promises that He made to ancient Israel because God always keeps His promises. The Israelites are made up of the houses of Israel and Judah.  Gentiles peoples are adopted into the house of Israel thus becoming a part of the branch.  The two branches come together as one tree, known as YHWY/Yeshua’s bride.

(b) Salvation has occurred in different ways at different times (dispensations). Therefore, Christians are saved today in a different way than the Jews and other people were before the cross. YHWY/YESHUA is never changing. Salvation has always been, since before the laying of the foundations of the earth, through that of the shed blood of Yeshua.

(c) The seventieth week of Daniel 9 points forward to a period of seven years during which the Great Tribulation will take place. This may not be an end time prophecy as it was not referred as one.

(d) God will not allow the church to suffer His wrath during the Great Tribulation. He will take it to Heaven. This is an accurate statement; however, YHWY’s wrath will come after the great tribulation.  YHWY’s wrath and the great tribulation are two different things.

Let me wrap the blog up with this.

Those of you, who are familiar with harvesting, will understand this best; however, for those who are not, I will try to explain the act of harvesting as concisely as possible. First, in the seeds are sown into the soil, some seeds will be planted in fertile soil and will sprout, some will fall by the way side, and some on rocks which do not sprout, and some in sandy gravelly soil where there is not anchorage for the roots.  The seeds, weed and grain, will sprout and grow, but the seedlings will look alike until harvest, at which time the weeds are pulled leaving the desired grain with its fruit showing.  The grain will be threshed to obtain the kernels. Finally, the farmer will burn the fields to rid them of disease, and if the flame is hot enough, it can kill any weed seeds left behind.

This is essentially a picture-analogy of the end time sequence.

Here is my take on the rapture.  The bowl, vile and first six trumpet judgments will take place, some occurring the same time as some of the others, as we saw when anchoring scripture around the islands sequences in Revelations 6 and 16. However, prior to the last trumpet judgment, the 7th judgment, the last trump will sound, gathering in the saints, who meet Yeshua in the air.  Yeshua continues moving to the fields of earth now with his saints behind him, and rids the world of evil, ultimately burning all through His judgement.

My hope is to put to rest the ideology that the contemporary church is something special, and that we will not face persecution or tribulation.  Frankly, the Pre Tribulation Rapture theory is a lie from the pit of Hell as well, designed to make Yeshua’s followers to quarrel with one another, causing division, and when the end draws near, it will sow doubt in the hearts of those brothers and sisters who believe in the pre tribulation rapture. They will find they have not been rescued as they believed; thus throwing their convictions and faith down into the toilet. Some may rally and pull through this setback, but many will not.

Therefore, we have a duty to study through the word rightly dividing it, and to present biblical proof to our brothers and sisters who have misguided beliefs.  Their very souls may bank on it.  Remember, our fruit shows what is in our heart.

I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. Jeremiah 17:10

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. Luke 6:45

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.  Matthew 7:16-21 (Emphasis added.)

Let me close with this chapter from Isaiah.

1Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!

Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.

The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, shall be trodden under feet:

And the glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be a fading flower, and as the hasty fruit before the summer; which when he that looketh upon it seeth, while it is yet in his hand he eateth it up.

In that day shall the Lord of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people,

And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.

But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.

For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.

Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.

12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

13 But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

14 Wherefore hear the word of the Lord, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.

15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves; (Emphasis added.)

16 Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place. (Emphasis added.)

18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it. (Emphasis added.)

19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.

20 For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.

21 For the Lord shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act. (Emphasis added.)

22 Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord God of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.

23 Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.

24 Doth the plowman plow all day to sow? doth he open and break the clods of his ground?

25 When he hath made plain the face thereof, doth he not cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cummin, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and the rie in their place?

26 For his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him.

27 For the fitches are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about upon the cummin; but the fitches are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin with a rod.

28 Bread corn is bruised; because he will not ever be threshing it, nor break it with the wheel of his cart, nor bruise it with his horsemen.

29 This also cometh forth from the Lord of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in workingIsaiah 28
